Bonnie Gibson

Vice President for the Mountain Southwest region

Bonnie Gibson joined SRI in 2022 as the Regional Director of its newly established Fort Collins, Colorado office, and now serves as Vice President for the Mountain Southwest region. With over 20 years of experience in cultural resource management (CRM), she has advanced in corporate leadership while maintaining her technical expertise in archaeology. In addition to her archaeological background, Bonnie also holds an MBA and has experience in business consulting. Her combined expertise in archaeology, project management, and process facilitation allows her to bring a fresh, streamlined approach to CRM projects, ensuring efficient collaboration with clients and agencies. Bonnie is particularly passionate about project management, staff development, and building long-lasting client partnerships that go beyond mere compliance. A recognized leader in the CRM industry, she has actively contributed to the Colorado Council of Professional Archaeologists, where she has served as treasurer, board member, and co-chair of the Education Committee. Nationally, she is a recent board member and current committee chair of the American Cultural Resources Association (ACRA), where she stays informed on issues affecting NHPA compliance. In her local community, Bonnie serves as Vice Chair of the City of Fort Collins Historic Preservation Commission and is a board member of Historic Larimer County. She strongly believes that the heart of the CRM industry lies within local communities and is passionate about fostering public interest in cultural resources.
