John Douglass received two Presidential Recognition Awards at SAA

Congratulations to John Douglass of SRI for receiving two Presidential Recognition Awards at the annual Society for American Archaeology (SAA) meeting for his work on ethics on behalf of the society. Since 2018, he has co-chaired a task force planning revisions to the Society’s Principles of Ethics and subsequently was a member of a task force collecting data from membership on what it felt was important to consider. Jeff Altschul, co-founder of SRI and former owner, was the co-chair of the third task force on ethics which revised the Principles and submitted them to SAA membership for approval. Ethics is important to SRI and our staff are leading the charge on this front.
