Historic Butterfield Overland Trail in Arizona

SRI’s Mary Todd, GIS technician and MS-GIST (Geographic Information Systems Technology) student at the University of Arizona, recently completed The Historic Butterfield Overland Trail in Arizona StoryMap. In January 2023, the President signed into law the Butterfield Overland National Historic Trail Designation Act. Mary worked as a volunteer to design the StoryMap as part of the requirements to complete a GIS mentorship offered through the Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC). The StoryMap was a collaboration between an anthropologist, historian, landscape architect, and other GIS professionals.
