Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), a multidisciplinary cultural resources consulting firm, has one full-time position available for a historical archaeologist at the principal investigator level. After completing a 4- to 6-week orientation period in SRI’s Tucson, AZ, office, the successful applicant will have the choice of being based out of one of the following SRI offices: Redlands, CA; Woodland, CA; or Albuquerque, NM. SRI provides comprehensive cultural resource management services to private and government clients at the federal, state, and local levels throughout the western United States from offices in Arizona, California, New Mexico, and the Pacific Northwest. SRI is a member of the American Cultural Resources Association.

Applicants must have at least five years of documented experience in historical archaeological project management, analysis, and report preparation. Applicants should also demonstrate experience in the preparation of project proposals and budgets. Applicants must be willing to travel and to accept short-term assignment to other SRI offices, as required. Applicants must possess either a Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Anthropology, specializing in historical archaeology, or a related field, and be Registered Professional Archaeologists (RPA) or be eligible for RPA. RPA registration is required by SRI if hired. A reading competency in Spanish and experience in researching the history of California or the American Southwest is preferred.
