Donn Grenda appointed to the California State Historical Resources Commission
December 1, 2005
In November 2005, Donn Grenda,
president of Statistical Research, Inc., was appointed by
Governor Schwarzenegger to a four-year term on the California State Historical Resources
Commission (SHRC). This nine-member state review board is responsible for the identification,
registration, and preservation of California's cultural heritage. The SHRC meets at least
four times per year, and citizens are invited to participate in the public hearings. The
mission of the SHRC and the Office of Historic Preservation, in partnership with the people
of California, is to preserve and enhance California's irreplaceable historic heritage as a
matter of public interest so that its vital legacy of cultural, educational, recreational,
aesthetic, economic, social, and environmental benefits will be maintained and enrich the
lives of present and future generations.
