Programs Archaeomagnetic Research Program Current Southwest Research Recent research in the Southwest has focused on expanding the temporal and geographic coverage of the existing archaeomagnetic database. To this end, we have focused on measuring samples from Late Archaic and Early Formative sites, and from sites in northern Mexico. We have also been developing new methods for using archaeomagnetic data to construct high-precision site chronologies. Recently, these interests were presented in poster format at the Archaeological Sciences of the Americas conference in Tucson. Two of these posters can be viewed by clicking on the thumbnails below.
