Along with Dr. Jeffrey Altschul, Ms. Deborah Altschul founded Statistical Research, Inc. (SRI), in December 1983. The establishment of the company was, in part, the fulfillment of the Altschul’s mutual desire to create an environment where scientists could come together to conduct interesting and exciting work on the human condition. Dr. Altschul and Ms. Altschul consult regularly about business issues confronting SRI and are able to bring their various areas of expertise together in order to arrive at workable solutions.

The success of SRI, as evidenced by the quality of past research as well as the company’s vision for the future, is the culmination of conversations the Altschuls had well before SRI was ever imagined.

Ms. Altschul was the Vice President of SRI for more than 20 years. She was responsible for administration and human resources, which meant day-to-day operations, legal and accountant consultation (tax and audit), insurance, and reporting (both internal and external) for the corporation. Growth provided the impetus for developing internal management procedures including Web-based time entry linked to accounting software.  Other tasks were assumed as needed and were undertaken to advance the company or to expedite the completion of a project. Ms. Altschul received a B.A. from Reed College and a MSW from Tulane University.

Today, as Vice Chairman, Ms. Altschul consults with and advises the President and CFO.  She also provides oversight in specific areas and also maintains primary legal, accounting, and banking relationships.

Ms. Altschul is very proud to continue to be associated with SRI as well as to have been a Founder of the SRI Foundation and a Director of Nexus Heritage–SRI. By remaining at the forefront of the industry, the SRI family continues to adhere to the Altschuls’ original vision and values.
